Room 6 & 15 Big Day Out

On the 25 of November 2013 Room 6 And Room 15 left to go to Kaiteriteri. Room 6 piled on the bus and room 15 got transport from parents. We had a stop to make at Mapua school before we could go to Kaiteriteri. We stop at Mapua to have a couple of relay races. Room 15 won the first won and Mapua School won the second one. After we had said good bye we got on our way and headed to Kaiteriteri. Once we got there the teachers told us our safety needs and we did different things.

Firstly Mia, Maddie and I went on the flying fox, after a few go’s we played mini golf. Then we put our togs on and waited for a turn on the biscuit. Mia and I were first while Maddie was in the boat, the driver did a tight turn and fliped us both off. then Maddie had a go, it was so funny to watch!

Then it was time for lunch, mmmm nothing beats a buttered piece of bread with a sausage in the middle top with sauce. It was so hot, the teaches had brought along some moosies and juices. I called it dessert, After lunch everyone was back in the water.

Time flew and soon enough we had to pack up and leave to come back to school. Kaiteriteri was the best day out I have ever had in my school life, and it was also the best day of this year so far.

The haunted house!

Three houses down from us is a creepy old abandoned hotel. I say its haunted, but no one believes me, including mum. Yesterday she told me not to go anywhere near the hotel.

Today is halloween, so we went to the library and asked to use the computers. We searched up the address for the creepy hotel and guess what it came up with! "Kid has been murdered, no weapon or blood found at the crime scene, although she had bruises all over her. The owner of the place said its happened before. Some witnesses said "There was an unusual sound coming from the girls hotel room, so I went to check on her, as soon as I opened the door something flew straight at me. I have no idea what is was, but then I saw her lying there, face into the floor. I rolled her over and soon realized what had happened!" Research still continues.

After that we ran straight to the hotel and had a look around. Horrible mistake! As soon as I walked into the girls old hotel room where she died, the door slammed shut behind me... I was terrified. There was a flash of light and then I saw it, the mystery was solved, but for some reason I had a feeling I wasn't going to make it out alive.

The end.. or is it?

All Blacks coming to BIS

On the 26th of October, two of the All Blacks came to Broadgreen Intermediate. Beauden Barrett and Wyatt Crockett came in to our hall and talked about their experiences and answered questions that the boys had. They stayed for lots of photos and autographs for the people lucky enough to see them :)

Room 6's debate

This term Room 6 is doing argument and persuasive writing. The class has got into debate teams and are to write a debate, arguing the point we got.

Everyone picked out an argument, affirmative or negative and 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Nobody got to choose what they got, it was all picked out of the hat and we will all debate together as a class :)

Room 6 "Lean with us"

This year is the 2013 America's cup. Mr T is very passionate about it and likes to watch the live races during class. New Zealand has been very successful and has won many of their races.

Mr T has got everyone in the class interested in the America's cup :)

Room 6 Expressive Writing

Who lives here?
Well, some people say its a witch, with her 10 cats. Others would say, its an immortal old hag, but I believe its just a nice old lady, who's going a bit off her nut. She lives with her 3 cats. She never really comes outside, you often see her walk past one of her windows or a dim light inside. Her house needs some gardening, and a bit of repairs, but other than that it looks like a great house to explore. I've seen her 3 cats around, they always have this kind of creepy look in their eyes and they always hiss and snarl at people.

Everyone makes stories up about her, like she turns into a ware wolf at night and you can hear her howling, or she killed her husband by sucking his blood, but I don't believe any of those, because I know that they aren't true. To me she dosen't look like a witch, or a immortal old hag, she just looks like a lonely old widdow. Who needs company, but I think I'll leave up to someone else because right now I have to go find someone to suck some blood for my dinner.

Winter Tournament Rugby

On Thursday the 22nd of August, 22 of the boys of Broadgreen went up to Green Meadows to participate in the intermediate school rugby Winter Tournament. We played plenty of games winning them all. It had finally come down to the finals between BIS and NIS. We were all really pumped to play in the finals but unfortunately we lost 19-7. We were really disappointed when the hooter went but we had another thing to think about, it was the sevens. One of the sevens teams won all there games and won the final 45-5 and the other team didn't do so good coming 7th over all.

Winter Tournament Hockey

On Thursday and Friday all the schools of Tasman competed in the Winter Tournament, i played hockey. I was captain of the Broadgreen A team, I really enjoyed it. On the first day we won all of our games apart from when we played Waimea. On the second day we won all our games and got into the final. In the finals we got a thumping leaving Waimea to win the hockey. But still i really enjoyed being captain of my hockey team.
